Introduction

This policy outlines the guidelines for online instrumental music lessons provided by Nikki Warrington. It establishes expectations for both the teacher and student, ensuring a safe, effective, and productive learning environment.

Technology and Platform

*All lessons will be conducted via Google Meet or Skype. A link will be sent out prior to the lesson starting.

* Students are responsible for having a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and a microphone.

* In case of technical difficulties, the teacher will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the lesson.

Safeguarding and Privacy

*The teacher is committed to providing a safe and respectful learning environment.

*Teachers and Pupils must wear appropriate clothing and lessons must not take place in a bedroom.

*Parental Supervision is required for all students under 18.

* Any inappropriate behaviour or language will not be tolerated. The teacher reserves the right to end a lesson early if necessary.

Payment and Cancellation

* Invoices are sent monthly in arrears, payment by cash or bank transfer.

* Lessons cancelled with 24 hours’ notice will be rescheduled if possible. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be invoiced in full.

*All lesson materials, including arrangements and recordings, are the property of the teacher and are protected by copyright law.

*Recording lessons without explicit permission is prohibited.
