All lessons take place in my studio in Longwood, Huddersfield or at St. Aelred’s Community Centre, York.
I teach in Huddersfield, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday and in York, Thursday and Friday.
Lessons are available during the day, afternoon and evening.
Lessons fees are set for each academic year from 1st September and are reviewed each year.
Lessons fees are invoiced monthly in arrears for those with a regular slot in the studio and can be paid by cash or bank transfer.
Ad Hoc students pay on a pay as you go system by cash or bank transfer.
It is expected that students with a recurring slot will attend at least 35 lessons a year to keep their slot.
The studio is open most weeks of the year with a 2-week break at Christmas and summer. Lessons can be taken in the school holidays.
Dates, when the studio is closed, will be displayed in advance on the notice board or on your student portal via the website.
Lessons cancelled with less that 24 hours notice, will be paid for in full.
Lessons can be re-arranged within the same week if there is a slot available, please make all changes via your portal not by text message.
Lessons missed by the teacher will not be charged for.
If a student is ill or in case of bad weather (if you have covid symptoms, please do not attend) a lesson can be moved online. For a student to cease lessons, a months’ notice is required, whether the lessons are taken or not within the notice period.
Ad hoc students can book a slot via the portal, though there is no guarantee there will be slots available every week.
All exam and competition fees must be paid in advance of the closing dates.
Practice means progress and students should ensure they can make time to do practice in-between lessons. Should a student fail to make progress due to lack of practice, the teacher has the right to cease lessons.
Parents/carers and adult students must notify me off any health issues or allergies that might cause issues in the lessons.
Anyone of any religion, race, colour, background, sexual orientation, learning difference or disability is welcome to have lessons. I aim to provide a safe space to learn and expect that my students and their families show the same level of respect to others.
I am paediatric first aid trained, have public liability insurance and an up to date DBS and undergo regular safeguarding training.
