Nikki has been teaching my daughter for four and a half years. She has taught her flute, singing and music theory. I give Nikki my highest recommendation. Not only is she highly qualified, highly knowledgeable about music and has an impressive CV as an instrumentalist, Nikki is an exceptional teacher. I think she strikes the right balance between nurturing and challenging. No doubt children need to be motivated, but equally, if not more important for the development is constructive feedback and criticism. Thanks to Nikki, though flute is the third instrument my daughter picked up, she achieved Grade 8 with distinction within just over 3 years of study. My son first began having lessons with Nikki when he started at Bootham School in Year 9. He had never had singing lessons before so this was a big deal for a teenage boy! He quickly realised that he had met someone who not only believed in his dream of studying Music Theatre, but who provided him with the training and vision for that study. He has subsequently gained a place at both CAPA College, Wakefield and onto his dream drama school Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London where he is currently studying a degree in Musical Theatre. It was Nikki’s training and determination, alongside her ability to nurture a teenage boy’s dream that gave him the confidence and wherewithal to get where he has so far. Thank you, Nikki. HUGE congratulations to Zara, who has had quite an

HUGE congratulations to Zara, who has had quite an impressive few months.
.
On Saturday she won the 14 yrs and under vocal solo class and was placed 2nd in the Music Theatre Class at the Haydn Wood Festival. Not bad for her first ever competition.
.
This is on the back of gaining a ridiculously high mark in her Grade 3 Singing Exam.

This is one hard working and talented girl and I'm immensly proud of her achievements.
